Sleepow Baby Music Pillow

As parents to babies, we are constantly on call. Their needs are very basic and crying is the involuntary reaction that alerts us to their distress or discomfort. During the day, when we are awake and energized, our non-stop attentiveness and caring gives us an incredible sense of satisfaction which more than compensates for the trying aspects of parenthood.

At night, however, it is a different story. We are exhausted from the day yet our biggest challenge still lies ahead: putting our little angel to sleep.

There are as many approaches to this as there are babies but one common thread can be found in virtually all of them: music. Music and song have been used to calm children down and help them sleep for millennia. Numerous studies have proven scientifically that calming music slows down children’s brainwaves and acts as a natural sedative.

As parents in modern times, many of the baby toys that we buy or are gifted to us include some kind of musical element to them. From the age-old wind up chimes to today’s fancy baby monitors and apps that run on our tablets and smartphones, there are many variations on the same theme.

At Sleepow, we asked ourselves why not combine a baby pillow and music together? As a result, Baby Sleepow was “born”. The soft, colorful pillow comes in two animal themes and is perfectly sized for a baby’s head. Embedded inside the washable pillow are speakers and an mp3 player which comes pre-loaded with gentle relaxation music specifically developed for babies, however the unit may be uploaded with any music or sound files desired (even a recording of a parent’s voice singing a lullaby!). There are no external controls and the volume is set at a level which will ensure safety for baby’s ears. Baby Sleepow comes with one control button which can be operated by squeezing on it from the outside. The button controls on/off and two playing modes: half-hour and two hours. No charging required: the unit runs on 3 AA batteries.
